MANAGERIAL EXPERIENCE
For fifteen years prior to coming to Atlanta from Houston, Jim Medlin was CEO of a large manufacturing company with national and international distribution. In Atlanta, he formed Legend Homes and has been building large homes and commercial projects for the past twenty years.

MENTORING & COACHING EXPERIENCE
While in Houston, Medlin worked with young entrepreneurs, helping them start their own business by providing a business plan, training, mentoring and financial assistance before turning them loose on their own. He was responsible for helping to start fourteen separate companies.

Since coming to Atlanta, he has continued his mentoring role in the business sector:

• Director of an International Business Network, where he also served as teacher, mentor and coach
• Board member of an organization that helped former addicts and alcoholics reach their goals of starting a business, providing training, accounting, legal, coaching and financing
• Board member of Parents, Teachers & Advocates, a program that works with parents of abused children to help bring families back together

COACHING CERTIFICATION
Medlin has been actively involved in individual and team coaching in the Coles College of Business's Executive MBA program for the past two years and is currently in the certification program for Executive Business Coaches.
